If this is the movie that propelled Peter Dinklage’s career, I can get on board with that. This movie was charming and unexpectedly wonderful.
The Station Agent tells the story of a recluse train enthusiast who is befriended by an aloof painter and an overly social, if not desperate, son of a food truck owner. There is childishness to their relationship as they stumble across and/or force themselves on the other.
The story has its darker dramatic moments, but you genuinely come out with the feeling that it’s overwhelmingly heartwarming.
