Albeit dramatized, the movie does capture the rough conditions faced by the miners. From learning the precariousness of the space they occupied, the laughable amount of food and resources to keep them alive, and the determination of the family members above ground who were desperately fighting to save them, the movie delivered a rollercoaster of emotions. You couldn’t help but feel for the characters. My heart sank in moments of sorrow and jumped in moments of jubilation.
This movie was a nice presentation of facing adversity and doing it together with a community. Although, I do have to admit that the trailer hit me harder than the movie itself.
