Below are movies that I consider "MISS", so don't bother!

star wars: episode ii – attack of the clones

Monday, May 18th, 2015

10 years have passed in this story and it appears Anakin has become a resentful teenager under Obi-Wan’s tutelage. Although this is better than the Phantom Menace, the story is still underdeveloped. The most important elements seemed to be brushed aside such as the relationship between Anakin and Padme and Anakin’s early stages of Dark Read more…

star wars: episode i – the phantom menace

The first time I watched this was when it first came out when I was just a youngling. I remember being upset that it was made. After several years of vowing never to watch it again or the two sequels to follow, I bit my tongue and decided it needed another chance. My sentiments remain Read more…

get hard

Comedies really need to up their game. Although there were comical parts in this movie, I felt like it was nothing original, nothing uproariously hilarious to make me grasp my sides. The movie pokes really hard at stereotypes, but it felt like an incomplete execution. There have been a bunch of Kevin Hart movies lately, Read more…

I wasn’t crazy about this film. I spent the majority of it just hating it. If I were a hardcore music geek with aspirations to make it into a world-renowned symphony or a hardcore artistic anything, I would probably feel differently. To some extent, I appreciate what the story was trying to portray. I get Read more…

I won’t go into the fact that no one can replace the sheer awesomeness that was Christopher Reeve as Superman because seriously, no one can outdo him. Let me just jump into the movie overall and say the use of CGI was excessive. So much so that the movie would have been fine as a Read more…

escape from planet earth

If you’re looking for an animated film to put on in the background, this is probably a good one. I’m not sure the makers made this film for the right audience because I know I wouldn’t last the entire movie if I was a kid. A little too much grown-up rivalry and adult bickering. Although, Read more…

I felt like this movie was a mix of Fern Gully and Alice and Wonderland. I thought the graphics were beautiful. Like watching a live wallpaper you just want to jump into… Mildly entertaining and slightly tear-jerking, but a little redundant. Beyonce’s in it if that somewhat moves you.

inside llewyn davis

The trailer made me think this film would be heartwarming and fun. I mean, a musician walking around the city with a cat. What’s not to potentially love? Unfortunately, the movie was boring. Perhaps it was too artsy, or maybe I’m just not that interested in watching another play on the struggles of an artist Read more…

the heat

Melissa McCarthy should really be given more diverse roles because the hard-ass, don’t-give-a-shit characters just aren’t delivering as many laughs as they used to and honestly, I think she has more range than that. There wasn’t much to differentiate this from Identity Thief. Other than the set of actors, the movies are pretty much identical. Read more…

Christian Slater was always, in my eyes, the creepiest, cringe-worthy looking actor and this movie just heightened my judgements. I had heard this movie referenced before and seeing as I needed to watch all these 80’s classics, I thought, “Heathers sounds like it could be light-hearted and fun”. Boy was I wrong. The movie was Read more…
